Girls Empowerment

BC Extreme creates safe and encouraging environments, where through facilitated activities, teenage girls develop a positive self-image and strong leadership skills. BC Extreme provides them with the confidence and necessary tools they need to successfully manage their own self-esteem. These sessions are accompanied with discussions about the influence of media on an individual’s self image, and expectations surrounding females in our society. The sessions are interdisciplinary with elements of visual arts, dance and movement, writing, theatre and discussion. They are fun, interactive and cater to all different learning styles. This program is offered through the Vancouver School Board.
